The programme is designed to provide advanced and in-depth knowledge and competencies in the fields of sustainability, security, and global peace and wellbeing. It aims to train legal professionals capable of addressing complex situations and developing innovative strategies within both public and private organisations, with particular attention to the European and international dimensions.

Graduates of the programme will acquire strong, specialised, and multidisciplinary legal expertise, enabling them to identify, critically analyse, and manage the transformations of contemporary societies at the national, supranational, and international levels.

In particular, graduates are expected to acquire and demonstrate a thorough command of:

1. the fundamental technical tools of specialised legal culture at the national, European, and international levels, including case-based techniques and methodologies, in relation to issues relevant to the understanding, evaluation, and application of principles and institutions of positive law;
2. the ability to integrate the themes of sustainability, security, and peace, grounded in a clear awareness of their interconnection and interdependence, and to develop strategic solutions that effectively balance and reconcile these dimensions;
3. theoretical and historical legal knowledge enabling the evaluation of legal institutions also in light of their legislative, jurisprudential, and administrative evolution and innovation;
4. the ability to draft clear, relevant, and effective legal texts (including contractual and/or administrative acts), well-argued and appropriate to their context of use, also with the support of digital tools;
5. interpretative, case-analysis, and legal reasoning skills, including the qualification of facts within legal frameworks, as well as critical understanding, representation, and appropriate assessment of legal facts and the issues arising from them, together with the capacity to address interpretative and applicative problems of the law;
6. the ability to situate problems within broader geopolitical and economic frameworks, critically assessing their implications and informing context-sensitive and strategically sound decision-making;
7. the essential tools for the continuous updating of professional competencies;

The programme aims to train professionals in the fields of economic, environmental, and social sustainability, security, and global peace who, by virtue of their specialised preparation, are able to identify and respond to emerging needs of businesses, public administrations, supranational organisations, and non-profit entities. This includes strategic and innovative functions, with a view to career entry or advancement into positions of significant responsibility, as well as the provision of highly specialised consultancy services.

The programme also seeks to equip graduates to engage with emerging professions such as conflict mediators, judicial support officers, and facilitators in corporate crisis resolution, as well as to prepare professionals capable of addressing the legal challenges arising from technological innovation and evolving market demands.
