The Programme aims to provide advanced and in-depth knowledge and competencies in the legal disciplines relating to sustainability and security, with the purpose of training legal professionals capable of addressing complex situations and developing innovative strategies within public and private organisations, with particular attention to the supranational dimension.
Graduates of the Programme will acquire consolidated multidisciplinary legal expertise, enabling them to understand, manage, and govern contexts characterised by rapid and significant transformation.
In particular, graduates are required to acquire and demonstrate comprehensive mastery of:
a) the fundamental technical instruments of specialised legal culture at the national, European, and international levels, including case-based methodologies, in relation to issues relevant to the understanding, assessment, and application of principles or institutions of positive law;
b) the ability to interrelate the themes of sustainability and security, with full awareness of their interconnection and mutual dependence, and to propose strategic solutions capable of achieving an effective and balanced integration of the two dimensions;
c) the theoretical and historical-legal knowledge necessary to evaluate institutions of positive law also in light of their legislative, jurisprudential, and administrative evolution and innovation;
d) the ability to draft clear, pertinent, and effective legal texts (both contractual and/or administrative), appropriately reasoned and suited to their operational contexts, including through the use of digital tools;
e) interpretative skills, case-analysis abilities, juridical qualification capacity (linking facts to legal categories), critical comprehension and representation of legal facts and the issues arising from them, and the evaluative awareness required to address interpretative and applicative problems in the law;
f) the essential tools for the continuous updating of their professional competencies.
The Programme is designed to train professionals in the fields of economic, environmental, and social sustainability, as well as security, who—owing to the distinctive nature of their preparation—are able to meet emerging needs within enterprises, public administrations, and non-profit organisations, including with respect to strategic development and innovation. Graduates will thus be prepared for entry or career advancement within such sectors, in roles involving significant responsibility, or for undertaking highly specialised consultancy activities on their behalf.
The Programme also aims to provide training suitable for emerging professional roles, including those formally defined by legislation, such as the officer of the Ufficio per il Processo, the conflict mediator, and the facilitator for corporate crisis resolution, as well as for the preparation of professionals capable of responding to market demands concerning legal issues associated with technological innovation.
